MYL\u00c8NE SAVOIE<\/strong> GASTON LEPAGE\u2019s\u00a0participation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Hop On Blue<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>is the story of two young adults who are trying to conform to the strict professional and social codes of their milieu. They eventually let go and come alive with a new awareness and creative folly. A game of hopscotch marked on the ground is the symbolic space where each one of us crosses one of life\u2019s passages from the Earth to the Sky, and from the Sky back to Earth. This versatile actor with an original path has also played in over 30 short films. Gabriel studied with directors Luc Picard, Patrice Sauv\u00e9 and Simon Olivier Fecteau. He has worked in Montreal, Toronto and the United States.<\/p>\n Nicolas Venne<\/strong>,\u00a0DOP,\u00a0likes to play with light. Since the early 90s, he has collaborated as lighting designer on several films such as\u00a0Le Violon Rouge\u00a0(Fran\u00e7ois Girard),\u00a0N\u00f4\u00a0and\u00a0Possible World\u00a0(Robert Lepage),\u00a0La Veuve de St-Pierre\u00a0(Patrice Leconte) as well as\u00a0The Heist\u00a0(David Mamet). \u00a0In 2002, he worked as Rigging Gaffer on\u00a0Confessions of a Dangerous Mind\u00a0(George Clooney) and on\u00a0The Aviator\u00a0(Martin Scorsese) in 2004. He is involved in various projects shot around the world, notably, in 1997, when he goes to Vietnam to work with Dai Sijie on\u00a0Tang le Onzi\u00e8me. \u00a0For the last two years, he has been the DOP for several short fictions, music videos and commercials. In 2007, he directed his first documentary film,\u00a0Moment.<\/p>\n Justin B\u00e9chard<\/strong>\u00a0is a young musician who composes for recordings and for films\u00a0like\u00a0L\u2019agneau\u00a0by Pierre Chaput,\u00a0Solitude\u00a0by Natasha Paris,\u00a0Hop On Blue\u00a0and\u00a0Walk\u00a0by Annie Molin Vasseur. As a teenager, he was attracted to music composition and writing which soon became his passions. He began his musical research and experimentation accompanied by his guitar, his greatest musical ally to this day. Integrity is his motto and he only involves himself in those projects that stimulate and surprise him.<\/p>\n Maud Boisnard<\/strong>,\u00a0First Assistant Director, studied in Theatre and in Film, in France. As a student, she worked in various capacities including as a jury member in several film festivals such as: La Biennale du cin\u00e9ma japonais \u00e0 Orl\u00e9ans (1992 and 1994) and the Festival international de Carthage, in Tunisia (1992). She came to live in Quebec in 2007 where she has since been working with independent directors. She did Continuity for several short fiction films like\u00a0L\u2019agneau\u00a0by Pierre Chaput,\u00a0Compulsion\u00a0by Natasha Paris, and Annie Molin Vasseur\u2019s\u00a0Entre deux mondes.\u00a0On\u00a0Walk\u00a0and\u00a0Hop On Blue, she worked as First AD.\u00a0She has also collaborated on various French language projects:\u00a0Tir au but\u00a0by Carlo Ghioni,\u00a0Le chalet,\u00a0in collaboration with Claudia Baillargeon. She is presently in post-production on her\u00a0\u00catre \u00e0 la hauteur,\u00a0a short fiction she wrote and directed.<\/p>\n Davy Derouault<\/strong>,\u00a0Production Manager. Arrived from France in 2000, Davy Derouault graduated in cinema studies from the Saint-Laurent College in 2004 and in cinema from UQ\u00c0M in May 2007. Having worked in all positions of a film, he quickly developed a passion for the preparation, coordination and management of films. In August 2007 he created\u00a0Embarcadero Productions, a company which reflects its image, giving a mandate to produce original quality films, made by emerging filmmakers. In 2008 he worked as an associate producer and production manager on\u00a0Land of Men\u00a0a short film directed by Ky Nam Le Duc. He also produced his first two short films:\u00a0Doll, directed by Sandra Coppola and\u00a0Garage Sale, directed by Laurence Cl\u00e9ment. He now continues to develop projects and work with Ky Nam Le Duc for the movie\u00a0Ashes, and other directors and producers<\/p>\n Phyllis Lewis<\/strong>,\u00a0Picture Editor, has worked in film and video production for over 15 years. She began as an assistant editor at the National Film Board of Canada in 1995 developing her skills and collaborating on many award-winning projects, including the 2007 Oscar-winning short film,\u00a0The Danish Poet,\u00a0by Torill Kove. She teaches digital editing at the Segal Centre of Performing Arts and is the Coordinator and video facilitator for Next-Gen NDG, a youth media program with local community organization, Head and Hands<\/p>\n Luc Mandeville<\/strong>,\u00a0Editor\/Supervisor, began working in postproduction for film and television, in 1990.\u00a0Since 2000, he has supervised the post-production and created the soundscapes for TV series such as\u00a0Les Bougon: c\u2019est aussi \u00e7a la vie,\u00a0Le dernier Chapitre\u00a0and\u00a0Ren\u00e9 L\u00e9vesque\u00a0for which his post-production sound teams were nominated for G\u00e9meaux\u00a0for Best Sound.\u00a0A\u00a0Golden Reel Award was granted by the MPSE for Best Sound Editing to the TV movie,\u00a0Crusoe\u00a0broadcast on NBC, in 2008.
